Matthew O'Callaghan, President

Member since 26 March 2020, appointed until 25 March 2025

Matthew O’Callaghan was a Senior Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission and the former Australian Industrial Relations Commission from 2001 to his retirement in 2017. He was involved in workplace relations issues throughout Australia with primary involvement in South Australia and Western Australia.

Matthew has held senior roles in the South Australian Public Sector.  He was formerly the Chief Executive of the South Australian Department of Industrial Affairs and was, at various times, responsible for printing, fleet management, forensic science and other functions.

Before entering the public service, Matthew was the Chief Executive of the South Australian Employer’s Federation, which has subsequently become Business SA. He has had particularly extensive involvement in major civil and mechanical construction projects throughout Australia. He commenced his workplace relations career with BHP in the Whyalla Steelworks.

Donny Walford, Member

Member since 1 January 2024, appointment until 31 December 2026

Donny is a highly experienced Non-Executive Director and CEO, with a background in public unlisted companies across sectors including Finance, Defence, and Government. As the Founder and Managing Director of DW Behind Closed Doors Pty Ltd and DW Bottom Line Pty Ltd  Transition Strategists, Donny’s executive career history includes banking and finance, business services, government, and HR.

Her Chief Executive roles included VivaSA Inc. (Business Vision 2010), Invest South Australia (Office of Economic Development), Defence SA (SA Government), General Manager, Marketing and Business Development, SA Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (Business SA), Senior Manager Sales, Marketing and Banking, Morgan & Banks (Hudsons Ltd) and Senior Manager, BankSA (State Bank).

Current Non-Executive Directorships include KeyInvest Ltd, KeyInvest Foundation Pty Ltd, Venture Capital Fund and Providence Wealth Advisory Group.

Mark Young, Member

Member since 1 January 2024, appointment until 31 December 2026

Mark is a Non-Executive Director of Newcastle Airport Pty Ltd and was formerly Managing Director of Adelaide Airport Limited for 10 years up to December 2021.

Prior to joining Adelaide Airport, in July 2001 as Chief Financial Officer, Mark was Finance Director for Macmahon Holdings Limited enjoying a 20-year career that included experience in all aspects of that contract mining, civil engineering and building construction group.

Mark is an experienced Non-Executive Director having held directorships with the South Australian Tourism Commission and Aviation Industry Boards both domestic and international.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) at the University of Adelaide and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants a member of the Chartered Accountants ANZ and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mark has completed an Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School in the US.
